Building a scalable case study library inside PowerPoint

To support Oracle’s sales and marketing teams, my team partnered with strategy leads to design a modular customer spotlight deck that functioned as a dynamic case study library — not just a presentation.

The challenge

Twelve distinct services, each with 5–20 case studies, needed to be organized into a cohesive, flexible tool that sales could easily customize for different audiences, industries, and buying stages.

Instead of building one static presentation, we created:

  • A centralized case study library structured by service line

  • A modular slide architecture that allowed content to be rearranged seamlessly

  • A consistent storytelling format across all customer stories

  • Clear hierarchy and visual cues to help reps navigate and assemble decks efficiently

The solution

A fully systematized PowerPoint framework that enabled reps to quickly assemble tailored pitch decks by pulling relevant stories into their narrative.

Design System Within PPT

  • Custom slide master system with multiple master layouts

  • Locked brand elements for governance and consistency

  • Flexible placeholders for charts, metrics, quotes, and imagery

  • Pre-set typography and spacing rules for clean execution

Built Entirely in PowerPoint — With Intention

This wasn’t just “designed in PowerPoint.” It was engineered for usability.

Motion With Purpose

  • Subtle animations used strategically to support progressive disclosure

  • Sequenced builds to guide executive-level storytelling

  • Click-based reveals to prevent content overload

Usability for Sales Teams

  • Intuitive section dividers and navigation slides

  • Clear labeling for easy case study selection

  • Designed for non-designers to use confidently

The Impact

  • Enabled sales teams to quickly tailor presentations by service, industry, or challenge

  • Increased efficiency by eliminating one-off deck builds

  • Elevated visual polish and storytelling clarity across strategy presentations

  • Strengthened brand consistency across 12 service offerings
